About Event

The Hong Kong Guide Dog Association was established in 2011 and is dedicated to providing internationally accredited and professional service dogs, including guide dogs and animal assisted intervention (AAI) dogs. Each guide dog undergoes at least two years of training before service, which involves substantial expenses and a large commitment of resources and effort. The Association is not subvented by the government; all guide dogs are provided free of charge to visually impaired individuals, allowing them to live independently and with dignity. AAI dogs also offer psychological support to those in need and provide therapeutic or support services for students or elderly individuals with special educational or emotional needs.

The Charity Run for Little Q is the large-scale running carnival organized by the Hong Kong Guide Dog Association. The event theme is “Walking with You,” aimed at raising more funds for the Association to cultivate and train more professional service dogs, including guide dogs and Animal Assisted Intervention dogs, hoping to become partners for visually impaired individuals and those in need, brightening their lives.

The venue for the Little Q Charity Run will feature several game booths, suitable for parent-child and family participation. Additionally, there will be a booth set up by the Veterinary Community Outreach Program, City University of Hong Kong, to provide free health check-ups for participating pets.

For this event, the Hong Kong Guide Dog Association has collaborated with the local original design brand Team Green to design our poster characters. The three Little Q figures represent guide dogs, Animal Assisted Intervention dogs, and guide dogs in training. The souvenirs for this event and the decorations at the venue will also feature these characters designed by Team Green
